Sometimes people say, “I can’t imagine”. So, how do I make them imagine?

Before the World Race, I never would have told you I’m a photographer. I brought a hand-me-down, 11-year-old Canon EOS 7D, two lenses (50mm & 10-22mm), and a WHOLE lot of eagerness.

This collection is an ode to all things beautiful and bittersweet. These photos see and celebrate our humanity as they attempt to capture the beauty in landscapes and the richness of relationships. Beauty brought us into communion with each other, regardless of language.

With my kitchen filled with the smell of nostalgia, this, I believe, is one of the best ways I can honor the season. Grab a cup of coffee (and to my squad, maybe a tissue).

Join me in prayer: Lord, thank you for these photos like a string of hearts binding our time on the World Race together. We are saved by your stories, an ode to your faithfulness and a hope for what’s to come.

  1. C’MON!!! Love love love this collection. You’ve got a great talent, these photos make me feel like I’m transported to the moment. And they make me miss the field. Love you Katie friend!!

  2. Amazing as always. I feel like I am there and experiencing it person. Love ya girl. So much life left to live!!! Go get it!

  3. Great question! My dad is also a photographer, so I put all my faves in a slideshow and he ruthlessly (yet gracefully) provided feedback! I tried to minimize duplicates of people, but some slipped through. I also tried to include different photos from those that I put in my monthly photo blogs (which were more of the squad and everyday life rather than landscape and local portraits). Thanks for asking, and thanks for checking out my photos! 🙂

  4. Thanks for encouraging me to keep pursuing creativity all the way back in Month 1! Love you mama.
